Prof. Kam Hung is a Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has been investigating Chinese behavior and psychology in tourism and hospitality for more than a decade, taking cruise tourism and luxury consumption as her primary research foci. She has had more than 120 papers published by refereed international journals and conferences and received multiple awards. She has been ranked as the second most prolific scholar in the world in cruise tourism research in terms of first authorship based on publications in 1997–2016 in the top six international tourism and hospitality journals. She also serves on the editorial boards for multiple journals including Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Review International, Journal of China Tourism Research, and Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism.
香港理工大学酒店及旅游业管理学院教授，硕士课程主任，博士生导师，美国酒店协会注册高级导师。在美国德州农工大学（Texas A&M University）获得休闲管理硕士与旅游管理博士学位，曾任教于加拿大汤普森河大学（Thompson Rivers University），2009年加入香港理工大学至今。有超过十五年的研究经验，主要研究领域为：游客心理行为学，邮轮旅游，奢侈消费等。在Tourism Management，Journal of Travel Research，Annals of Tourism Research等世界顶尖期刊上发表学术论文62 篇，其中包括SSCI 期刊论文48 篇，在国际学术会议发表论文60篇，并四次获得会议最佳论文奖，两次获得中国文化和旅游部颁发的优秀研究成果奖（2018 与2020），以及一次获得香港理工大学酒店及旅游学院颁发的卓越研究奖（2016/17）。根据1997-2016年在6大国际旅游及酒店期刊上的论文发表量，洪博士以第一作者的身份，被评为全球第二多产的邮轮旅游研究学者。与此同时，她也主持过多次科研项目，包括香港政府优配研究金（General Research Fund, 由香港政府研究资助局提供， 相当于中国国家自然科学基金），政策研究资助计划（Public Policy Research Fund, 由香港政府政策创新与统筹办事处提供），Holland America Line-Westours, Inc., 以及American Bus Association，并担任Journal of Travel Research, Journal of China Tourism Research，Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism, 及Tourism Review International的编委会成员，及各大国际知名期刊的匿名评审人。
