World record in the women's 50 swimming backstroke smashed by China's ZHAO Jing

  Early on the morning of July 31, Beijing, the women's 50-meter backstroke concluded the last day of its competition at the 2009 World Swimming Championships. ZHAO Jing of China smashed the world record and won the gold medal with a stunning time of 27.06. This was the second gold medal that China won and the second world record to break at the Championships. ZHAO Jing is actually a grade 2009 postgraduate student from School of Administration of SCUT. LI Yuanyuan, President of SCUT, sent congratulatory message to ZHAO Jing after the competition.
