China-Germany Bilateral Meeting (2022) on Two-dimensional Magnets, Topological Materials, and Spintronics Devices
发布时间:2022-04-30

On April 27-29, 2022, the Spin-X Institute, together with Peking University, University of Mainz, Beijing University of Technology and the Jülich Research Center, co-hosted the China-Germany Bilateral Meeting (2022) on Two-dimensional Magnets, Topological Materials, and Spintronics Devices, with Professor Hou Yanglong, Professor MathiasKläui, Professor Feng Wanxiang and Professor Yuriy Mokrousov as co-chairs, and Professor Rui Wu as the Chinese liaison for the meeting. The symposium is a combination of online and offline sessions and brings together 24 keynote presentations from leading scientists in the field of 2D magnetic/topological materials from China and Germany.

Due to their rich structures and novel properties, 2D magnetics/topological materials have expanded the application prospects of spintronics, but currently there are great challenges in the controlled synthesis, physical properties modulation and device processing. The aim of this meeting is to explore the scientific issues in this field in depth, to promote the exchange between Chinese and German scientists in the emerging 2D field, to discuss the progress of their respective research and future research directions, and to establish long-term cooperation in this field.

Professor Hou Yanglong gave a keynote presentation on Controlled Synthesis and Physical Property Modulation of 2D Non-Layered Magnetic Nanomaterials in the bilateral meeting. The meeting was supported by the Mobility program of the Sino-German Science Center.
