time: 2024-12-03

From November 7th to 8th, 2024, the Fifth National Doctoral Forum on Political Science and Public Administration was grandly held at the School of Public Administration of Jilin University. This National Doctoral Forum on Political Science and Public Administration focused on the theme of Innovations in National Governance under the Background of Comprehensive Deepening of Reform, and set up two parallel sub-forums. Doctoral students from major universities across the country, based on their own professional backgrounds, conducted in-depth discussions on issues such as micro-level grassroots governance challenges, digital governance transformation, and macro-level innovations in the national governance system under the background of comprehensive deepening of reform.

In the sub-forums, Liao Jiahao, a doctoral student from School of Public Administration, conducted an in-depth case study on the governance embedding of local CPPCCs based on the theoretical framework of hierarchical interaction and discourse construction. The sub-forum also held heated discussions on the promotion of grassroots consultative democracy, grassroots difficulties in digital governance, cross-regional cooperation, grassroots governance issues, and grassroots policy implementation deviations. The experts at the meeting agreed that we should deeply study the successful experience in China's national governance innovation, explore the universal law behind it, and provide theoretical guidance and practical reference for China's micro grassroots governance problems, digital governance transformation, and macro national governance system innovation and other issues.
