报告人简介:

梁泽钦博士(柏林工业大学),现任职Novelis全球汽车研发中心冶金科学家。现从事汽车用铝合金新合金,新成型工艺,焊接工艺以及增材打印汽车工业应用的研发工作。同时负责Novelis欧洲高校和研究所前沿合作项目策划和顾问工作。目前策划和参与德国教育部的电阻点焊焊新型复合铝合金板设计项目,英国轻量化成型汽车生产平台Lightform,瑞士跨尺度材料模型和AI辅助材料设计平台,柏林工大的6xxx铝合金早期析出热处理研究项目。在工业应用方面,研发和优化的材料覆盖路虎,奔驰,保时捷,奥迪以及玛莎拉蒂等各种车型。

报告摘要:

The first application of aluminium sheet on automobiles dates back to 1900’s Ford model T. But its development did not match the mass production in automotive until the recent 30 years. The prices of the petrol, environment regulations and the development of the aluminum rolling industry itself has different impacts during the journey. Nowadays the increased demand has been forcing significantly changes in aluminum rolling industry to supply the quantities and qualities of sheets that should the customer needs. 5xxx and 6xxx are the largest portion of alloys entered into the market. In contrast, 2xxx alloys were the key player in the early application but finally been kicked out.

In this talk, we review the key contribution of the rolling companies around the world who developed the 4 alloy families in 5xxx and 6xxx and worked with the automotive companies to make these alloy families successful. The key property requirements on two major groups of components in automobiles 1) structural and crash components and 2) body skins are introduced. By correlating the key microstructure, we can later have a better understanding the chances and challenges to develop the next generation of automotive sheet material and its forming processes. Finally, examples of the development of advanced alloys and forming processes worldwide are shown.
