报告摘要：
Many young researchers would like to make big discovery with easy efforts. There is hardly such a short-cut in engineering research as the understating of a process a gradual process for most people. I would like to share my research and development experience with young researchers to shed some light of engineering science research with our evolution of injection molding control methods.
讲师介绍：
Furong Gao is a Chair Professor of Chemical & Biological Engineering (CBE) at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He received his BEng (1985) in Automation from East China Institute of Petroleum, MEng (1989) and PhD (1993) in Chemical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Dr Gao worked in Moldflow International Ltd (now, a part of Autodesk), Australia as a Senior Research Engineer in charge of technical development of Intelligent Process Control Group prior to his joining of HKUST in 1995. Concurrent to his professorship appointment in CBE at HKUST, he serves HKUST also as the founding director for a center and a division, Center for Polymer Processing and Systems (CPPS), and Division of Advanced Manufacturing & Automation (AMA). To date, he has authored 6 books and 400+ journal and conference publications. His research interest lies with batch process automation and its applications to the industries of polymer processing and energy.
