Congratulations to Professor Duan Chunlin of our school for winning the Brand for 40 Years - Man of the Year Award
Zhang Guohua, President of China Advertising Association, presented Professor Duan Chunlin with the Brand for 40 Years - Man of the Year award
On the evening of March 4th, the first Guangdong International Brand Festival Awards Ceremony was held in Guangzhou Poly Intercontinental Hotel.
Many well-known marketing experts, advertising academic leaders and other heavyweight guests attended the event. At the ceremony, Professor of the School of Journalism and Communication of South China University of Technology and doctoral tutor, Duan Chunlin, director of the Guangdong Provincial New Media and Brand Communication Innovation Application Key Laboratory, won the “Best 40 Years of the Brand – People of the Year” award.
Professor Duan Chunlin made an innovative exploration in the field of computational advertising, pioneered the establishment of the nation's first brand communication profession, and proposed the integrated brand communication (lBC) theoretical system. She opened up a high-end talk show Chunlin tanks of Brand, which received 3 million + focus online; served as an independent director of a number of listed companies, and made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese brands and advertising.
This award ceremony was jointly sponsored by the South China advertising industry and the leading enterprises in the brand and marketing field. The “Brand forty Years – The Man of the Year” award is a personal honor of Guangdong International Brand Festival, which is used to recognize brand experts and scholars who have made tremendous contributions to the development of Chinese brands in the past 40 years. Professor Duan Chunlin received this honor and was personally presented by Zhang Guohua, President of the China Advertising Association, which also showed the weight of this award and also showed the recognition for Professor Duan Chunlin's achievements over years.
