South China University of Technology launched the first MBA program in South China in 1993. Dedicated to cultivating pioneering management talents with global perspective and acknowledged as the cradle of South China entrepreneurs, the MBA program of SCUT has stuck to its purpose of meeting the needs of local enterprises, taken the economic advantages of the Pearl River Delta as its commanding height, sought the match between MBA education and local business practice in South China, and focused on local cases teaching and Analysis for years. So far, SCUT MBA has graduated more than 5,000 students who have become a dynamic force actively promoting the economic development of South China and even the nation.

Adhering to the traditions of South China University of Technology, SCUT MBA has formed an open, pragmatic and innovative characteristics and established a positive brand image. In 2012, South China University of Technology MBA program obtained the AMBA accreditation and was awarded the 5-year re-accreditation later in 2015 and 2020. In 2016, the program was selected as one of the “50 Most Valuable MBAs in China”.

Coupled with seminars, case studies, scenario simulations, corporate observations, group assignments and business visits etc., the SCUT MBA program, whose faculty pool consists of renowned academics and business elites at home and abroad, develops the students’ qualities as professional managers. It now offers four concentrations that focus on different subject areas by differentiating the emphasis of the courses to meet the education needs of the students interested in different areas. The four concentrations are: entrepreneurship & innovation, finance, marketing management, and comprehensive excellence. Upon graduation, the students will receive a master's degree in business administration and a graduate diploma.
