The National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science announced the 2016 list of the National Philosophy and Social Science Achievements Library on September 2nd. Professor Zhang Weiguo's achievement, Research on the Evolution and Control of Financial Complex System, was included as the first SCUT achievement selected into the Library, and it is also the first SCUT research result included in a national library. This major progress achieved by SCUT in the field of management is an important breakthrough of the school's research in philosophy and social science.

The listed achievement is a result of a NSSF Major Programme Project completed by Prof. Zhang in 2015 as primary investigator, which studies the financial complex system that consists of stock market, money market and foreign exchange market etc. From theoretical analysis to practices, from macro-control to micro-management, it formulates a relatively complete theories and methods system of the evolution and control of the financial complex system.

The National Philosophy and Social Science Achievements Library was founded in 2010 by the National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science. The achievements listed in the library represent the Chinese leading edge research and innovative result of the highest level in philosophy and social science. This year, 48 achievements were selected and only two of them are in the field of management.
