With the great support of the Ministry of Education and the government of Guangdong Province, and the tremendous efforts made by several generations of staff, our school has been recognized as one of the leading institutions for research and educationin light industry and engineering. Through the construction and development in the past 60 years, our school has built up several renowned national and provincial laboratories, research centers and education platforms, such as the State Key Laboratory of Pulp and Paper Engineering, National Engineering Research Center of Papermaking & Pollution Control, State Light Industry and Food Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center. Meanwhile, according to the major developing trend of national light industry, our school has also established National Science and Technology Innovation Platform of Plant Resources Chemistry and Chemical Engineering as well as Guangdong Provincial Research Center for Renewable Resources Polymer. Till to Feb. 2016, the overall fixed assets of the school has reached 1500 million Yuan.
