At the meeting, Wu Zuqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the hospital, made a basic introduction to the hospital and reported on the work results of the hospital in the past year, the next work ideas and key issues. Wu Zuqiang stated that under the great emphasis and devoted support of the district government and the South China University of Technology, the construction of the sixth affiliated hospital and the sixth clinical institute developed rapidly. The hospital will center on six aspects: the cancer center of the South China University of Technology, regional cooperative first aid system, the introduction of high-level talents, excellent teaching, construction of intelligent hospital, industry and finance integration based on the 14th five-year-plan.

He expressed his strong confidence about the cooperative projects with the South China University of Technology and suggested propelling the details to be carried out in the projects. He wished that the two sides would broaden the cooperation in more aspects and let more resources be invested into the sixth affiliated hospital and the Nanhai district.
Before the conference, the principals of the university and the directors of the Nanhai district government visited the new campus altogether and learned about the construction and plan of the next stage of the new campus.
It is reported that the first batch of the removal of the new campus of the sixth affiliated hospital has been finished. The whole removal is scheduled to take place at the end of this year.
