Two SMSE Faculties Won Prizes in the 3rd National Young Teachers’ Teaching Competition on Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials Courses

From November 6 to 7, 2021, the 3rd National Young Teachers’ Teaching Competition on Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials Courses was held online, guided by the Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and jointly hosted by Science, Technology and Education Committee of China Building Materials, Education and Human Resources Committee, and Hefei University of Technology. Around 80 teachers from South China University of Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Southeastern University, Wuhan University of Technology and other institutions signed up for the Competition. After two rounds of fierce competitions, Tongsheng Zhang and Shanshan Cao, two young teachers of School of Materials Science and Engineering, SCUT got first and second prizes respectively in the final.



This Teaching Competition has a wide impact across the country, and is currently the highest teaching competition for young teachers on inorganic nonmetallic materials field. It aims to strengthen the teaching skills of young teachers, develop their devoted and rigorous attitudes in teaching, and promote the reform of teaching concepts, contents and teaching methods.
