International School of Advanced Materialsinvites applications and nominations from abroad for opening positions of Senior Teaching Professors/Teaching Fellows.

Job Description and Qualifications:

We are seeking to appoint Senior Teaching Professors/Teaching Fellows in Material Science and Engineering. Candidates are expected to have PhD degrees in one of the following areas: Chemistry, Materials, Physics, Mathematics or related disciplines, with experience in the innovative delivery of teaching to undergraduate-level students. We especially welcome people from other renowned universities who are currently taking sabbatical leaves of six months or above.  

 The post holders will act as one of the key liaison points with undergraduate students and work with the School to develop and deliver a contemporary curriculum to undergraduate students in years 1 to 3. The main duties associated with the post are as follows:

  •  Course delivery for selected courses in MaterialsScience and Engineering, including (but not limited to):Materials Mechanics, Modern Methods for Materials Characterization and Analysis, Fundamentals of Materials Processing, Materials Selection and Design, Materials Calculation and Simulation, Functions of Complex Variables, Mathematical Physics Equation.

  •  Contribution to the academic administration.  

  •  Helping the School improve its engagement with industry.

  •  Supporting and growing key international partner/s.

  •  Holding a foreign passport.

Location:Tianhe, Guangzhou, China

Start Date: from5th December 2019
