The drug delivery system research is mainly focused on sustained-release polymer gel system and the lipid loading system including nanoparticle formulations and microvesicles.

☛ Development of oxymatrine liver-targeted liposome nano formulations by active drug loading.
☛ Development of madecassoside liposome skin-targeting formulations for the treatment of burns and skin wounds.
☛ Development of a novel long-acting anesthesia microvesicle of ropivacaine hydrochloride for pain relieving agent.
⑵ Natural medicinal chemistry:
This research mainly focuses on the study of active components and the design of small molecule drugs of Chinese medicines and natural products, combining pharmacodynamics experiments, screening active lead compounds, and exploring the action mechanisms.
Research Fields:
☛ Research on the a variety of terpenoids and their biological effect, for example study on the hypoglycemic active components of the southern endemic plant guava leaves to obtain the active components of resorcinol dialdehyde heterogenous terpenes with novel structural skeleton. AntiHIV triterpenes from Cyclocarya paliurus.
☛ Determination of absolute configuration of monomeric compounds by single crystal diffraction, combined with virtual screening and molecular docking, for rational drug design.
☛ Research on the “detoxification” active ingredients of traditional ethnic Dai medicine Arundina Graminifolia, and obtain novel stilbene compounds and phenanthrene dimers.
