On May 11, 2021, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation (SCET) of South China University of Technology and the 1st branch of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division (CCEED) Co. LTD was held in Guangzhou. SCET’s Secretary Zheng Cunhui, associate deans Ji Jing, and Chen Jun, associate chair of civil engineering department Pan Jianrong; Secretary Gao Liang, HR director Ms. Nie Li and several SCET alumni from the company attended the signing ceremony.

At the ceremony, the two sides watched the introvideo of both SCET and the No. 1 Company of CCEED. Afterward, Secretary Gao briefly introduced the general informationand history ofthe company, along with development achievements and strategic planin the 13th Five-Year Plan, and talent cultivation to the participants.

Director Nie Li warmly welcomed the arrival of Secretary Zheng and the rest of the visitors and introduced the company's recruiting principle of one view, two focuses, and three emphases and the talent training system of Bathing Fire Plan to the participants. Director Nie Li said that South China University of Technology, as one of the Elite Eight Schools in architecture, has always been an important source of graduates for their company. The company will continue to renovatethe talent training system, continue to provide graduates with a broad platform, provide life-long learning opportunities for employees whose has high stewardship to serve the nation and the society,and get ready to be available at any possible circumstance.

Secretary Zheng affirmed the development achievements of the company and introduced the development history, school quality, and scientific research level of South China University of Technology. Secretary Zheng hopes to take this strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to further strengthen collaboration between the two sides from different aspects including student internships, scientific and technological research and development, vocational education, and joint party building, etc. Such strong bond can assist the ongoing construction of great power, and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of the construction industry.

Associate dean Ji Jing introduced students' internship needs and the cooperation direction of the two sides in industry-university-research to the company, hoping that the two sides can have more in-depth and comprehensive cooperation in internships, employment, practise and other aspects in the future.

Afterward, both parties signed a collaborative agreement on jointly building a practice base for students, and unveiled the official board for the jointpractice base. It is hoped that this joint center can allow two parties to strengthen collaboration in teaching practice, talent training, scientific and technological research and development, party building and co-construction, jointly cultivate outstanding talents, and promote exchanges and connections between schools and enterprises.
