Program Aims:

The program offers a solid and systematic knowledge structure on the basis of general knowledge of both arts and sciences. The goal is to cultivate and improve students with a broad international vision, the academic ethics standards, and the innovative, humanistic and team spirit. The students have senior scientific and technical talents with enough practice and innovation skills so that they can apply mechanics theory to conduct mechanical research on civil engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering , ship engineering and so on. 

Research fields

1.       SolidMechanics. The main researches include the mechanics of fatigue, damage , fracture, and composite materials. 

2.       Engineering Mechanics. The main researches include micro/nano mechanics, structural vibration control and structural design optimization.

3.       Fundamental Mechanics and Interdisciplinary of Mechanics. The main researches include mechanical response, vibration control and safety design of materials and structures under strong dynamic load.

The goal is to provide systematic specialized knowledge and combined with engineering practice. This program enables students to understand the development direction of this subject, can promote the development of the discipline theory or technology progress of the research topic, and have the ability to independently conduct scientific research, and higher education.
