  Dr. Shen Yindong, a professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), made an academic exchange of transportation at SCET on January 16, 2015. Deputy Dean Wen Huiying on behalf of SCET welcomed her warmly.
  On that morning, Prof. Shen communicated with teachers of Department of Transportation Engineering on optimal scheduling and planning of public traffic, and shared her learning experiences when she was a student and her recent research productions.
  During her academic exchange, the audiences were moved by Prof. Shen's humor, solid research capability, persistent scientific spirit and serious scientific attitude. Finally, Professor Shen showed her thanks to SCET teachers and students who listened to the academic report and her hope that teachers and students of both HUST and SCUT could strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the future. Introduction of Prof. Shen Yindong
  Shen Yindong, professor of School of Automation (former Department of Control Science and Engineering) at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). She got her Bachelor of Science from Departments of French, Computer Science and Information Science (Chinese-French pilot class) at Wuhan University in 1986. In 1989, she received her Master of Science on computer retrieval from Department of Information Science, Wuhan University. She engaged in research cooperation at North London University in 1997 and obtained her Ph.D. from Department of Computer Science, University of Leeds in 2001. During her study overseas, Prof. Shen became a member of British Operational Research Society, and that of American Society of Industrial Engineers.
