SCET Prof. Wu Bo wins the 2nd prize of State Scientific and Technological Progress Award again

  The list of 2014 National Science and Technology Awards was published at the National Science and Technology Awards Conference 2014 on the morning of Jan. 9, 2015. Key Techniques and Application of Fire Resistance in Concrete Structures , a program co-completed by SCET Prof. Wu Bo, won the 2nd prize of State Scientific and Technological Progress Award.

  Wu Bo is a research fellow, Ph.D. supervisor, "The Yangtze River scholars" Professor and winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young.
Prof. Wu has been engaged in the research of fire and seismic resistance in structure, and recycling of waste concrete for several years. He edited the first design standards of fire resistant in buildings' concrete structures in China, presided the first application of friction dampers in seismic resistance projects and completed the first engineering case of a large number of waste concrete in building structures. He published more than 90 papers at SCI / EI (CD), with being cited over 2100 times, and owned 11 authorized patents. He had been a writer of two monographs and a winner of the the 2nd prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. He also won the provincial science and technology award twice, and the second prizes six times.
