About the Conference

ISAS focuses on both theory and applications mainly covering the topics of artificial intelligence, control, automation, robotics and autonomous systems. In addition to the technical sessions, there will be invited sessions, panel sessions and keynote addresses.The conference attracted famous scholars and industry elites from China and the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Norway,Italy, Japan, Singapore, Turkay and Cyprus. Experts communicates about many frontier topics such as robust control, adaptive distributed control, networked system, intelligent Internet of things, autonomous autonomous system and so on.

June 5, 2017, the first International Symposium on Autonomous Systems Conference, organized by  South China University of Technology, hosted by Professor Frank Lewis, an internationally famous robot and intelligent system expert, was held at Guangzhou.

May 19, 2018, the second International Symposium on Autonomous Systems Conference has been held at  Chongqing University.

May 29, 2019, the third International Symposium on Autonomous Systems Conference has been held at Shanghai, held by Chongqing University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. More than 100 conference papers have been submitted, lots of experts from home and abroad attended the meeting, and there were various relevant research areas and heated discussions.



South China University of Technology, China

The South China University of Technology (SCUT) is a leading educational institution in China. It is a public research-intensive university directly governed by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Chongqing University, China

Chongqing University (CQU) is a key national university in China, directly under the State Ministry of Education, it is also one of the 211 Project and 985 Project” universities with full support in the construction and development from the central and local Government of China. CQU is located in Shapingba District, a cultural and educational center in the city of Chongqing, a major municipality of industry and commerce in the Southwest of China, an economic center on the upper reaches of Yangtze River.

Founded in 1929, Chongqing University had become a national comprehensive university consisting of six colleges in liberal arts, science, engineering, law science and medical science early in 1940s. In 1952, the nationwide restructuring of higher education turned Chongqing University into an engineering-orientated multi-disciplinary university under the State Ministry of Education. In 1960, Chongqing University was designated as one of the first key national universities. Since the implementation of reform and opening-up policy in China, Chongqing University has stressed the development of disciplines like humanities, business management, art, sports education, which has further sped up the process of developing itself into a comprehensive institution of higher learning.

Autonomous System Laboratory, University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute, USA

The Autonomous System Laboratory, University of Texas at Arlington Research InstituteASL has abundant research and development resources of unmanned mobile system on the ground, water and air, and various equipment and platforms including UAV and control system for student robot competition team to experiment.

The main task of the laboratory is to develop unmanned autonomous system and intelligent tools and technologies, solve the problems existing in the application of robot platform in different fields, apply it to urban security and monitoring, and improve and perfect the detection of mines, 2D/3D drawing, positioning, avoiding and controlling insect pests system of unmanned system by integrating different algorithms. Now the laboratory focuses on the research of communication uncertainty, trajectory prediction of wind field construction, influence of wake vortex and turbulence, rapid collision, automatic emergency landing, and development of low-cost UAV tracking system.


Key Laboratory of Autonomous Systems and Network Control, Ministry of Education, China

The Key Laboratory of Autonomous Systems and Network Control, Ministry of Education, was founded by the support of Ministry of Education and South China University of Technology. It is an experimental platform with a whole set of theory system of network unmanned autonomous system and related applications, and it’s also a center that studies advanced network autonomous system theory and technology, and develops actual small autonomous system. The lab is combined by the four research branch labs and one innovation base, respectively is no independent system room, intelligent systems and information processing chamber, network control and optimization of chamber, intelligent transportation and coordinated control chamber, embedded system and innovation cultivation base of numerical control equipment technology. The main research fields are autonomous behavior theory and method, network coordination control of autonomous system, autonomous system oriented self-organization network environment and network control, application oriented network autonomous systems design and integration, etc. The lab in line with the spirit of open, flow, joint, competitive, carries out various forms of cooperation and manage operation effectively, adheres to the mode of university-industry cooperation with enterprises, and gain full support from enterprises in the each section to reduce the time of the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.
