Research institutes under Project 111
Co-launched by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China (SAFEA), Project 111 supports select research institutes to conduct high-level international academic activities. Four institutes at SCUT won support from Project 111. They are all based on the people and facilities of key laboratories or research centers at national level. Each institute will receive a five-year grant of 9 million RMB, or 1.42 million USD, for international research initiatives, long- and short-term visiting scholars, international workshops or conferences, student co-education, and so on.

MOE International Collaborative Laboratory
Launched by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in 2014, the MOE International Collaborative Laboratory Program is aimed to promote high-level research, education, and laboratory operation through intense international collaboration.
