Dear Colleagues,
Our convention is rapidly approaching! Here is a brief note on registration:
1. You may check in and register at the South lobby of Hotel Canton on the second floor from 9:00AM to 9:00PM on June 17 and from 7:30AM to 4:00PM on June 18.
2. All the registration fees (Member: 800yuan per person, Nonmember: 850yuan per person, Students and Spouses: 550yuan per person) and IAICS membership fees (400yuan per year, Student member: 270yuan per year) must be paid in RMB cash. We are unable to accept any foreign currency and credit card (or any other bank card). We apologize!
3. Student participants must present student ID for onsite registration.

2.会议注册费、IAICS会员费均收取人民币现金，抱歉不能收取其他币种、不能提供银行卡刷卡服务；
3.以学生身份参会的人员，请您现场给组委会提供您的身份证明。

Dear Colleagues,
Our convention is rapidly approaching! Here is a brief note of all the relevant matters:
- All invitation/acceptance letters have been sent! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have not received the letter.
- The deadline for online registration is April 30. Please get registered at the convention website ASAP so that we can make all the necessary arrangements and accommodations for you.
- We have made a few changes in the convention schedule at some participants’ requests. Please check the convention program periodically for updates!
- Hotel reservations are now available online! You can make a reservation with Hotel Canton at the convention website.

The 2010 IAICS convention program already has been posted on our conference website. Please check and confirm your presentation schedule at http://www2.scut.edu.cn/interculture/IAICS2010/.
The convention program is tabulated in Excel, and there are three pages altogether. If you open the convention program and cannot find your schedule on the first page, please go to the next two pages by clicking the three numbers (18, 19, and 20) at the bottom of left-hand corner of screen.

Your letter of invitation for the 16th IAICS convention has been sent to you in an email attachment! Please make sure that it is properly received. The 2010 convention program will be posted at our convention website late in March. Please contact us ASAP if you wish to be a panel chair.
You are encouraged to register for the convention or confirm your attendance through email before deadline (April 15th) due to large numbers of participants. Your cooperation will help us make better arrangements for the convention.

Q: When should the full paper be submitted?
A: You are only required to make an oral presentation at the conference. Your full paper should be submitted after the conference. There will be a notice for you then.
问：论文全文什么时候提交？
答：会上是做发言，论文全文将于会后提交，届时我们会通知大家。
Q: Is there any chance for me to make a presentation at the conference? If yes, what language am I supposed to use, English or Chinese? Is there any verification letter for my presentation at the conference?
A: You are invited to present your work at a thematic panel of the conference. Yes, you are a presenter, but not a keynote speaker. You are expected to use English for your panel presentation if your abstract is written in English. You are expected to use Chinese if your abstract is written in Chinese. We do not provide any other verification letter for your presentation. The letter of invitation is an official verification. (You will receive a printed convention program, which may also verify your participation at the conference.)
问：我是否有机会（即作为presenter)在会议上发言？如有资格发言，大会所用语言是指定的还是可以自己选择，或者英语，或者汉语？如有机会作为presenter在大会发言，是否能颁发会议发言证书？
答：你是被邀请参会并安排在小组发言，可以说是会议发言但不是主旨发言。如用英文提交摘要，则用英文发言；用汉语提交摘要，就用汉语发言。会议不再提供发言证书，邀请函即是证明。
Q: I have submitted my abstract and received the letter of invitation. Does this mean that my paper has been reviewed and accepted?
A: Yes.
问：我提交了论文摘要并收到了会议邀请函，是否表明我的论文审核通过？
答：是的。
Q: Can I attend the conference without submitting an abstract? What will be the registration fee?
A: You may register at the convention website and leave your contact information. We will send you a letter of invitation if you need one. Registration fees may be found at the convention website.
问：我没有提交论文摘要，是否有资格来参会？参会费用如何？
答：请在会议相关网址上注册，并留下个人信息。如果有需要，我们可以给您发邀请函，参会费用信息可在会议网页查询。
