On the morning of March 18th, Gao Song, President of SCUT, paid a visit to the Guangzhou International Campus and hold an investigation meeting. Tao Shaojing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC SCUT Committee also participated in the investigation.
At the meeting, Gao Song listened attentively to the report on the campus epidemic prevention and control, the construction progress of the second-phase project, and the design planning concept of the campus bookstore.
Gao Song fully affirmed that Guangzhou International Campus has obtained remarkable achievements in campus management, online teaching, and student management and services during the period of epidemic prevention and control. He said that although the positive trend in the domestic epidemic prevention and control work is now expanding, we must not lower our guard. We should continue to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, and pay particular attention to preventing imported cases. At the same time, we should make active preparation for the return of students.

At present, the preparatory work for the second-phase of the Guangzhou International Campus is progressing steadily. Gao Song emphasized that it is necessary to fully absorb and learn from the experience of the first-phase project, maintain close communication with relevant units, speed up the construction of the second-phase project, so as to ensure that the whole campus will be completed on schedule, and provide students and teachers with an international campus which fully merges Chinese and western styles, combines tradition and modernity and integrates smart interaction technology.

After the meeting, Gao Song also visited the delivery sites of the first-phase project of the campus, the construction site of the public laboratory, and the centralized medical observation units.
