Clarivate Analytics (former Thomson Reuters) released the latest ESI Database (Essential Science Indicators), showing that Agricultural Science of South China University of Technology entering the world's top 0.1%. South China University of Technology has four top  0.1% disciplines now, and ranked the fifth in all Chinese universities and the first place in South China. The Agricultural Science discipline of South China University of Technology has 1331 papers with 15977 citations in the past ten years, ranking 78th in the world. In September 2017, the Agricultural Science discipline was selected in the list of  Double World-Class  disciplines.

Under the guidance of the establishment of world class universities and first-class subject goals, our school adjusted discipline direction to better meet the international academic frontiers and major national needs. Through the joint efforts of all teachers and students, a number of high level papers promoted our academic level and international influence, effectively boosting the school  Double World-Class  discipline construction.
