Abstract: This paper introduces the R & D background of battery-powered new energy ships, the R & D and operation of battery-powered new energy ships at home and abroad, the R & D, promotion and application work of Guangxi new energy ship battery Engineering Technology Research Center in marine lithium-ion battery power system, and the future development of battery-powered new energy ships.



About the reporter: Dr. Li Qingyu, professor and doctoral advisor of Guangxi Normal University, is the director of Guangxi Key Laboratory of low carbon energy materials and director of Guangxi new energy ship battery engineering technology research center. He is a Guangxi distinguished expert and Technical leading talent of Anhui Province, as well as the Leader of the high-level innovation team and an outstanding scholar of colleges and universities in Guangxi. He serves as the Board Committee Member of the International Academy of Electrochemical Energy Science, the Director of solid ion credit association of China Silicate Society, the member of the electrochemistry Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and the Member of energy storage engineering professional committee of China Chemical Society. He has long been engaged in the research and development of new energy materials, new energy technology, applied electrochemistry and non-ferrous metallurgy, and has undertaken more than 50 scientific research projects. More than 20 high and new technologies were developed, such as battery-powered new energy ship production technology, marine lithium-ion battery power system production technology, square aluminum shell lithium-ion battery monomer production technology and powerful lithium-ion battery cathode material LiFePO4 production technology. Dr. Li published more than 200 academic papers; and has more than 70 national invention granted patents. He also won a China Patent Excellence Award, a Guangxi first prize for technological invention, a Guangxi second prize for technological invention and a China nonferrous metal industry science and technology second prize respectively.
