Curriculum Vitae :

  • Dr. Xu is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor in the School of Environment and Energy of South China University of Technology. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees (M.S. supervisor: Prof. Yanming Zhao) from Hunan University of Technology in 06/2008 and South China University of Technology in 06/2011, respectively. In 08/2014, he received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Wollongong, Australia, and the Ph.D. supervisors are Academician Shi-Xue Dou (Supervisor) and Academician Hua- Kun Liu (associate supervisor). During the doctoral study, he spent six months in the group of Prof. Liming Dai at Case Western Reserve University, USA for visiting study. After Ph.D. graduation, he continued his postdoctoral work in Prof. Liming Dai's group (09/2014-07/2016) and Academician Shi-Xue Dou's group (08/2016-08/2017), respectively. Since 09/2017, he has been working independently in the School of Environment and Energy of South China University of Technology and conducted research on the application of new energy materials in batteries, including lithium (sodium) ion batteries, lithium-air batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries, and solar cell-lithium-ion battery combination devices. Students with backgrounds in materials, physics, chemistry, energy, environment, etc. are warmly welcomed to apply and join his team.
