In the morning of March 28, 2018, with the company of the head of the laboratory and the equipment management department Wang Jian, Yin Zi, the deputy director generalof the development strategy and planning, the deputy director general of the personnel division Liu Xiaoxiang, the deputy director general of the dean’s office Zhang Mingxing, the deputy director general of the graduate school Ruan Xiangqian, the deputy director general of the committee of management to Higher Education Mega Center Hu Gao, Vice-president Zhu Min arrived at our institute, held a work symposium of setting up the laboratory in the campus of Higher Education Mega Center in the Meeting Room 308. The Dean of our institute Ye Daiqi, the secretary Chen Hangyu, the Assistant Dean Zhu Nengwu and more were also in the symposium.

 In the symposium, the managers of colleges, experiment center and teacher’s deputy detailly introduced the working condition of laboratory construction, the management of laboratory technician, the safety and management construction of laboratory and some other aspects, brought up their view and advices for existing problems. The managers of the related departments explained present policies and regulations, adequately exchanged the ideas with the managers of the colleges and answered some specific problems.

 The Dean of our institute Ye Daiqi, the secretary Chen Hangyu, the Assistant Dean Zhu Nengwu separately reported the development of the construction in the management and safety of the laboratory in our institute to the Vice-president Zhu Ming and the leaders of related departments. They also detailly introduced the drawbacks and expected improvement program of gas cylinder management, the building ventilation system, ageing of laboratory table and cabinet, the safety usage management of hazardous chemicals and high-temperature high-pressure apparatus and so on.

 At last, the Vice-president Zhu Min did the summary. He believed that the construction and development of a new round of laboratories is really a powerful support and shield for the university to build up a “World-class universities and world-class disciplines” identity. The next parts of work that every colleges should do are: first, clarify the setting of laboratories, building up the system of registering laboratory. Second, enhance “the design of the top”, set up methods to scientifically examine system and evaluate, build up a high-level technical experiment team. Third, share resources, build up public platform. Forth, enhance the safety construction and management, raise awareness of everyone. Fifth, do a long-term schematization for the construction of laboratories.
