Prof. Yu-ming, Academician of the Canadian Institute of Engineering and Chinese University of Hong Kong will visit telecommunications institute in the coming days.

On the afternoon of 21 November, Professor Yu Ming gave a presentation of  My journey as a professor, engineer, manager  in Conference Room 632 of Hongsheng Science and Technology Building. Professor Che Man-chuen presided over the conference, the majority of teachers and students of the telecommunications Institute came.

Professor Yu Ming introduced the trendency of microwave technology and his research direction, and shared his innovative methods with some research work. Then, combined with the cultural differences between the East and the West, Professor Yu shared his unique learning methods and life experience in industry and academia. In the report, Professor Yu introduces his ideas of goal setting, innovative thinking, perseverance in predicament and so on. Finally, Professor Yu encourages students to learn to set goals and persevere in their work, and to maintain an optimistic, positive and contented attitude in their lives.

In the questioning session,r Yu had a positive discussion with teachers and students of the college. He combined his own personal experience to reply students. Students learned a lot from him and said that the methods are useful in their future work and life.
