February 10th, 2017, the China Education Society of Electronics（CESE）commended the 2016 national excellent teaching materials of electronic information and financial. Principles of Digital Communication (second edition) edited by Feng Sui-li, the professor of School of Electronic Information Engineering, South China University of Technology, etc. ,has been awarded the second prize.

This textbook emphasizes the physical concept and makes theoretical analysis more systematic and rigorous. Besides it absorbs new description methods and important contents of several great teaching materials and monographs at home and abroad in recent years. The complete, detailed and illustrated content brings the textbook more convenient for classroom teaching.

As it reported , a total of more than 200 kinds of teaching materials participated , along with various authors from 26 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. The expert group has made 15 kinds of first prize, 20 kinds of second prize and 30 kinds of third prize based on the thorough assessment of the shortlist. The evaluation is mainly concerned with four aspects : teaching goal, content selection, system structure, content presentation and expression.
