Specification for Undergraduate Experimental Reports in the School of Computer Science

time: 2025-03-31

The experimental report is a written record and summary of students' experimental research results, which is an important means of cultivating students' comprehensive abilities such as hands-on, writing, and analysis. In order to further improve the quality of undergraduate experimental teaching and standardize experimental teaching work, this standard is formulated. It is recommended to enter the laboratory and conduct experimental teaching under the guidance of the main lecturer or graduate teaching assistant for the mandatory courses of laboratory (computer) arranged in the undergraduate training plan. The theoretical part of the experimental class is explained by the main lecturer. Starting from September 1st, 2008, homework experiment reports will be uniformly saved and managed using the Teaching Online system.

一、 Management standards for experimental reports

(一) Basic requirements for students

  1. According to the requirements of the experimental course teaching plan, in principle, each experimental project should submit an experimental report.

  2. According to the prescribed time and requirements, complete the experimental report and submit it to the experimental instructor for correction.

  3. The experimental report shall adopt the prescribed experimental report format uniformly. The experimental report shall be submitted in electronic format uniformly.

(二) Requirements for Experimental Guidance Teachers

  1. Teachers should promptly correct experimental reports and provide feedback to students; Correction should have a signature, scoring, and generally require comments.

  2. The quantity and quality of experimental reports completed by students should be recorded in writing, and the experimental report scores for each experimental project should be included in the overall evaluation score of the experimental course as part of the regular grades.

  3. Students who submit experimental reports late should be deducted points as appropriate. Students who fail to submit or plagiarize experimental reports should be criticized and educated in a timely manner, and the score of the experimental report should be treated as zero. For laboratory courses with separate courses, if students plagiarize or fail to submit laboratory reports for more than one-third of the total number of laboratory reports for the entire semester, they shall not be allowed to participate in the assessment of this course.

  4. The electronic version of the experimental report requires a teacher's correction record. Please make corrections in the revised state of Word.

  5. Summarize the electronic version of the experimental report and burn it on a CD.

二、 Format requirements for experimental reports

(一) The experimental report generally includes the following contents:

  1. Experimental course name

  2. Experimental project name

  3. Experimental purpose and requirements

  4. Experimental content and principles

  5. Experimental environment

  6. Experimental plan design

  7. Experimental data recording and processing

  8. Experimental results and analysis

  9. Discussion and Reflection

The experimental courses of different courses may have different requirements for experimental reports, and the experimental reports of each course can be adjusted appropriately according to their own characteristics.

(二) The format of the experimental report is shown in Attachment 1.
