The 9th Pearl River Scholar Forum 2017, jointly sponsored by Guangdong Education Department of and South China University of Technology, was held in Southern Campus of South China University of Technology in Higher Education Mega Center at the afternoon on September 27. Professor Shaohua Tang, Distinguished Professor of Pearl River scholar and Professor of School of Computer Science and Engineering of South China University of Technology, gave a presentation on cyberspace security, a number of key issues and countermeasures. More than 120 attendees who are the teachers and students from more than 10 colleges and universities including South China University of Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University and Southern Medical University.
Professor Tang mentioned recent hot topics such as Go human-computer warfare, Russia and Ukraine hacker network fierce battle in cyberspace security. He also introduced crack password AlphaGo, cloud computing and big data, quantum computer, circuit bypass attacks and other new technologies which causes potential threats to the network security. In response to the four major network security issues, Professor Tang proposed some countermeasures against problems of deep learning, ciphertext data processing, quantum blockchain technology, random power consumption circuits and anti-leakage cryptography. He also interacted with the audience on relevant issues during the seminar.
