Vice President Professor Xueqing Qiu has visited the School of Computer Science and Engineering and discussed with the leaders of the School on 5th, September at the beginning of the new semester.

Professor Qiu first affirmed the achievements made by our School in bringing in high-level talents, training young teachers and teaching management. Professor Qiu pointed out that computer science is a promising study. Our school should make good planning. It is necessary to maintain its traditional advantages and make additional efforts in the building of a contingent of talents by using resources of Guangdong province and our university. More support and training should be given to young professors. The school should take the opportunity to plan for the development of different disciplines, especially on cyberspace security. Under the current good momentum of development, our school should continually uphold the philosophy of development. We do not only compare with the past but also with the other universities. All staff should be motivated and guided in order to improve the performance of our school.
