CF Young Computer Scientists & Engineers Forum “CCF YPCSEF Guangzhou” successfully held frontier academicreportof Artificial Intelligence, Pattern Recognition and Big-data at School of Computer Science & Engineering in SCUT on April 23,2015. This report draw great attention in the education field of south China district, and attracted nearly 300 experts and scholars from different colleges and enterprises. Besides, this symposium was jointly organized by CCF YOCSEF Guangzhou, Guangzhou branch of CCF, CCF Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition Committee, Guangzhou branch of IEEE Signal Processing, Computer Academy of Guangdong Compute Intelligence Committee and School of Computer Science of SCUT.
    On this symposium, a few experts of Artificial Intelligence, Pattern Recognition and Big-data among China, especially several Distinguished Young Scholars from the School of Computer science of Tsinghua University and Tianjin University, from Institute of automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and from School of Automation Science and Engineering of SCUT, were invited to give ten wonderful speeches to the audiences, including new methods of nonlinear clustering and its application, multi-modal brain computer interface and its application, pattern recognition and human-like learning, collaborative scientific research based on social network, multi-fractal spectrum theory in image processing and its application, and big learning with Bayesian methods. During the report, it has very active atmosphere: audiences put forward a few questions about the speech according to their interests, and the speakers were patient to answer all.
  In a word, through successfully holding this report it provided a good chance for south China district’s experts and students to share academic achievement, and also promoted the scholars’ academic improvements of this field.
