In order to deeply carry out the teaching programme on undergraduates in which all lectures are fully delivered in English, and to promote the process of internationalization of the School of Computer Science, we invited Professor Ljiljana Trajkovic, who is currently a Professor in the Simon Fraser University in Canada, Fellow of the IEEE, President of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, to visit School of Computer Science and give lectures to our students.
From 17 Dec to 25 Dec, 2013, Prof. Trajkovic gave lectures on Communication Networks for Innovative Class, Union Class, and International Class of 2011 of School of Computer Science. This course include the basic principle and protocol of data packet networks and virtual circuit networks, performance analysis and design of data and services in the network, congestion control and routing policiesin the network, and wireless network and routing policies in wireless network.
Prof. Trajkovic prepared elaborate coursewares and a course website for this course. She gave us a lucid and complete lecture via introducing different network instances in the class. Through this course, students have acquired basic knowledge of Communication Networks, in the meantime, they have a deep understanding of the teaching style and method of well-known professor, and have broadened their internationalized vision. Inviting well-known overseas professors to give lectures to our students,as a new teaching pattern, has improved the overall teaching quality of our school and the quality of our well-trained students.
