Title: Green Carbon-based Materials for Energy Conversion and Remediation of Water Contamination
Speaker: Prof.Shaobin Wang (Curtin University, Australia)
Time: 10:30a.m., Sep. 8th, 2017
Venue: Room 214, Building No. 16, Wushan Campus

Abstract:
The emerging nanocarbons such as graphene, carbon nanotubes, and nanodiamonds exhibit great merits for heterogeneous catalysis compared with metal- or metal oxide-based catalysts in aqueous solution without toxic ion-leaching and associated secondary contamination. In this talk, several different nanocarbonswill be demonstrated to be active materials as alternatives to metal-based catalysts in photocatalysis and advanced oxidation processes for wastewater treatment.
