Research Achievement:

Dr. Zhang is enthusiastic about the design of functional biomaterials to reproduce the biochemical and biophysical signals existing in the natural cellular microenvironment. He is particularly interested in their unique ability to regulate cellular behaviors and promote tissue regeneration. Dr. Zhang has published more than 30 academic articles in top journals including Chemical Reviews, Science Translational Medicine, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Science, Biomaterials, Small. He has been awarded the Young Scholar Award of Chinese Biomaterials Congress, the Student Award of Hong Kong Medical and Health Device Industry Association, and the STAR award of Society for Biomaterials Annual Meeting.
