2013 International Workshop on Food Safety Assessment Technology and Food Safety Quality Control


      The first International Workshop on Food Safety Assessment Technology and Food Safety Quality Control will be organized by The Ministry of Science and Technology(MOST) and hosted by The School of Bioscience and Bioengineering of South China University of Technology in Guangzhou on June 2013 In order to improve the serious food safety situation in developing countries. This workshop will give training to the technicians, managers, and government officials of developing countries in the areas of food, medicine, biotechnology and related aiming at giving contribution to help them getting improved these technology. 
      The trainees will be able to learned food safety control techniques, modern medicine analysis techniques,the basic theory, knowledge, and skills about food safety and regulations. They will be cultivated preliminarily as comprehensive talents capable of doing R&D and management work in the areas of bioscience, food quality and safety, as well as related multidisciplinary ones.

It is usually humid in June and July in Guangzhou, about 30°C to 35°C

Participants who have completed study successfully in the training workshop will be awarded a certificate issued by the Department of International Cooperation of MOST.
◆technicians, managers or officials engaged in food, medicine, biotechnology or related fields;
◆Below 45 years of age with bachelor degree and with a minimum of 3 years’ working experience;
◆Good writing and speaking English;
◆Well health condition;
◆None Chinese nationality and working in the countries other than China

◆The offer with invitation and schedule will be sent to the application after they have been accepted. 
◆International travel expenses will be borne by the participants themselves (round trip tickets between his/her home country and Baiyun International Airport)
◆Chinese government will cover the expenditure of accommodation, local transportation and training expenses during the workshop in China for the participants from developing countries. However, participants are advised to have some pocket money for personal purpose such as long distance calls or daily necessities and so on;
◆we covers the accident insurance for the participants; 
◆Participants from developed countries should cover their own expenditure related to the training workshop, including accommodation, transportation and other expenses in China.
◆The health certificate must be valid, provided by authorized physician or hospital;
◆deadline for the application form will be on May 5th 2013;
◆The participants should bear his/her medical fee by himself/herself during the workshop.
