Outstanding Young Scholars Forum held in School of Bioscience and Bioengineering

May 15th -16th , 2016, Outstanding Young Scholars Forum themed on Bioscience was held in our school. Seven scholars from Duke University, University of Minnesota, the United States National Institutes of Health, the United States ST Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Baylor College of Medicine, Canada's National Wildlife Research Center and Hong Kong Polytechnic University got together in B6-207 in School of Bioscience and Bioengineering, SCUT.

         

During these two days, seven outstanding young scholars gave excellent academic report to teachers and students in our university. Dr Huang Shujiang mainly introduced the microfluidic technology and integrated Systems Biology research, and he combined with his research results of the individual, emphatically introduced the application of microfluidic technology in Systems Biology and Synthetic Biology. Ya-nan liu mainly told the story of research progress in the application of ruthenium, selenium compounds and nano medicines in the field of anti-tumor drugs. Other scholars also introduced their research results or the recent research progress in their research area.

The excellent lectures gave by seven scholars attract students and teachers not only in our school, but also in other brother schools. They spoke highly of the speakers we invited and the successful forum we held.
