1、Program Aims

This program is to cultivate virtue, wisdom, body all integrated developed senior specialized talents. He should love the motherland, observe law and discipline, and he should have good moral character, scientific research style. And it’s furtherly to train the student with solid foundation, broad microbiology basic theory and specialty practice knowledge, grasps the subject development trend and cutting edge, but also to be related discipline knowledge, strong independent scientific research ability and engage in colleges and universities, research institutions, enterprises and other units of teaching, scientific research and management.

2、Study Duration
 Straight to born consists of a five-year (including a dissertation time), learning fixed number of year (contain out of school) generally no more than eight years.

4、training mode 
The cultivation of Ph.D degree graduate student is given priority to scientific research work, to foster independent engaged in a creative scientific research ability, to master the scientific method and set up the rigorous work style.
The cultivation of Ph.D degree graduate student adopt instructors of the system in his teacher or under the leadership of the steering group takes responsibility. Ph.D degree graduate student should work out the training plan in two weeks after coming to school, in the third term of 8 to 15 weeks take part in the mid-term examination according to the mid south China university of technology, Ph.D. Students assessment method, and complet the social (teaching) practice before the end of the third term.

5、Credit Requirements
The required credits of professional doctor graduate student of this major are no fewer than 54 credits, including minimum course credits for 35credits (required courses and credits, elective course of 12 credit hours), thesis proposal for 1 credit, academic activities for 2 credit (attend academic report 20 times, including personal speaker 3 times), teaching (social) practice for 1 credit, degree thesis for 15 credits.

6、Dissertation work
Ph.D degree graduate student should make paper work plan in the third term of 8 to 15 weeks, write opening report; Ph.D degree graduate student spend on thesis work should not less than 2.5 years; In scientific research process, he should report 3 times or more about his stage research papers or work progress to his teacher (steering group) in the scientific research team in each semester. Dr straight should publish academic thesis related to the subject and the research topic in the application before applying for a dissertation, specific requirements according to "south China university of technology, apply for degree graduate students about the relevant provisions of the".
