During the10-11 in December , 2010, the strategic development seminar in School of Bioscience & Bioengineering was successfully held in Conghua ,Guangzhou. The Meeting were chaired by the President Wang Xiao ning .People attended the meeting are as follows : Lin Ying , Vice President of college ;Hu Xiaofeng , Vice President of college too; Fan Li, who is the full-time deputy director of Province Key Laboratory of Fermentation and enzyme engineering and the teacher team leaders of related subjects.

At meet, the attending people firstly listened to the thinking of President Wang about overall strategic on the future development of the College. He systematically analyzed the current situations and the environment in developing our college and the future opportunities and challenges we facing now. The points he emphasized are as follows: concision of scientific objectives further; making a number of key breakthroughs around major scientific issues; building the core team to strengthen the integration of resources between the various teams; strengthening the top-level design further to promote education reform, improving the laboratory management to achieve the management of college by leaps and bounds.

Subsequently, the team leader and major project Leader made wonderful reports concerning their respectively research area and exchange ideas about development, the achievements, and the future of respectively research. Meanwhile, around the theme of the seminar and the topics of how to concise, organize research teams, how to improve management mechanism , how to strive to build our prominent features in research field of biological science and engineering , the people researched and put forward their own comments and suggestions.

President Wang made the concluding remarks. Firstly he affirmed the preliminary work of the academic team and put forward higher requirements and expectations to the further development of Institute, Specifically in the following areas: the adjustment of the overall layout of discipline, personnel training program optimization, Department of the re-planning the integration of graduate students, and biological resources Construction of information platform.

The opening of strategic development seminar in our college will be of great significance on the following areas: concision of research direction in our college, personnel training, and improve the management system.
