On Dec. 13, Dr John T. W. Yeow from the Univ. of Waterloo came to SCUT to assume duty as a Chair Professor. Dr Yeow is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Systems Design Engineering at University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, and is a Canada Research Chair in Micro/nano devices. Dr. Yeow's research interests include developing novel MEMS/NEMS, and nanotechnology-based devices for biomedical applications. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council Newsletter. As a Chair Professor, Dr Yeow will work with Prof. Sun Zhendong’s team on dynamical analysis and design of nanotechnology-based devices.
