Introduction:

Graduated from the Chinese Folk Dance Department of Beijing Dance Academy, currently the director of the Dance Department, Professor, and graduate student supervisor of the School of Arts, South China University of Technology. Social part-time positions include the director of Guangdong Provincial Dancers Association, the director of Guangdong Provincial Higher Vocational College Art Guidance Committee, and the member of Guangzhou Youth Federation.

His main directions of teaching are the teaching of basic dance skills, the teaching of Chinese ethnic and folk dances, and the choreography of dance choreographers. He has published nearly 15 articles in core journals of dance and art including Journal of Beijing Dance Academy and Dance; Among them, the article “Research on Folk Dance in the Perspective of Regional Culture: Analyzing the Aesthetic Features of Lingnan Dance” has won the second prize in the Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Category. He has hosted numbers of provincial and ministerial projects, and was a chief editor or joint editor for 5 textbooks. He has also created more than 30 dance works and won many awards in China. For example, his choreography “Throbbinghas won the “Eighth Tao Li Cup Cultural College Wenhua Award” Group Dance Outstanding Work Award in 2006, the Wenhua Gardener Award of the Ministry of Culture and Art College, and the Gold Medal of the “First Campus Dance Competition” of the Sixth Lotus Award of China in 2008; the choreography “Kapok Blooming” has won the Bronze Medal of the Ninth Lotus Award Dance Competition in 2014; the choreography “Chasing Dreamshas won the Gold Medal of the Second National College Students Art Exhibition; the “Fire Kapokhas won the Gold Medal of the Third National College Student Art Exhibition; Moreover, in May 2021 his choreography “Guardian” won the second prize in the art performance category of the Sixth National College Students Art Exhibition and Performance Activity sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Sichuan Province. He has participated in and directed more than 20 large-scale theatrical performances nationwide and in the Guangdong province, making positive contributions receiving warm social responses.
