Professor LIANG Jun is the current Dean of the School of Art, South China University of Technology. He is a composer and choral conductor. Professor Liang serves as the adviser of the Chinese Musicians Association, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Musicians Association, and Vice President of Guangdong Choral Association.

As a composer, Professor Liang has composed more than 50 works, including the symphonic overture Teng Wang Pavilion, Cocoon for symphony orchestra and other chamber music works. He has won prizes such as the gold medal of the First Symphony Competition of Guangdong Province, the excellence award of the Sixteenth National Symphony Works Competition of the Ministry of Culture, the bronze award of the Lingnan Style New Works Competition of Guangdong Province, and the composition award of Purple Chorus Festival. His works have been performed in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Nanning, Lanzhou and other cities in China.

As a conductor, Professor Liang has won the first prize of Group B of the “Zhongshan Cup” First National Choral Conducting Competition in 2006. He has won dozens of prizes at provincial and national levels, including Guangdong “Hundred Songs Praise China” chorus competition for many times.

Professor Liang has presided a number of national and ministerial level key projects, including “Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture into Campus - South China University of Technology Guangdong Cantonese Opera Art Inheritance Base” and “Excellent Original Culture in Campus” plan. He has also published one collection of works and two monographs. Professor Liang won “My Favorite Teacher” of South China University of Technology and “Nanguang Award” for his excellent teaching.
