      沙龙(Salon)原意为“大客厅”,后泛指十九世纪流行于欧洲上流社会的各种家庭聚会,变为一种社交活动的代名词。肖邦和李斯特都曾是各种沙龙的常客。沙龙音乐就是指专为这种场合创作并在沙龙里演奏的音乐作品,大多为炫技性的器乐或声乐小品,有着高难的技巧或优美的旋律,但并无多少深度和思想性,有些甚至是演奏家的即兴创作(肖邦就曾有类似的作品)。舒曼曾撰文贬斥对这种肤浅音乐的兴趣,但正如现在的卡拉OK,之所以流行自有它存在的价值。


      本辑收录了五位19世纪作曲家的的作品,除了BOEHM(德国长笛家,以发明波姆体系的按键装置闻名)和Kalliwoda其他三位作曲家都“名不见经传”。三首长笛与双簧管的二重奏搭配二者各一首独奏曲,五首乐曲“梅花间竹”,让三首二重奏被间隔开来,既保持了专辑的统一性又不会过于沉闷,因为沙龙音乐的特性总是让听者有雷同之感。虽然如此,但这五首作品绝对都是器乐曲中的showpiece,动听的旋律外加艰深的技巧不单愉悦了听众,对演奏者也是巨大的考验。其中的Morceau de Salon 中译即为“沙龙乐曲”,曾被多位双簧管演奏家灌录成唱片或演奏过,本人认为现在这首不论从音乐、音色及合作来讲都达到了几近完美的境界,很难再被超越。Duo Brillant “Guillaume Tell”被冠名为“辉煌的二重奏—威廉·退尔”,是专为长笛和双簧管而作,因原封照搬了罗西尼的威廉·退尔序曲中长笛和英国管的二重奏作为中段得名,这个中段本人也认为超越了所有的管弦乐版本。


      那介绍这张唱片就不能不提它的演奏者,Schulz和Schellenberger都是大师级人马,分别曾是维也纳爱乐乐团及柏林爱乐乐团的首席,二人又同为WIEN—BERLIN五重奏的成员,钢琴伴奏Koenen与Schellenberger已合作逾三十年。这几重关系之下,他们的合作势必能擦出火花、天衣无缝,绝对是器乐专辑中不容错过的“天碟”。

 

 

Chen Ching

 

Born in Wuhan in 1970, Chen Ching began his musical studies with the violin at the age of seven. Five years later, at the age of twelve he began his formal studies on the oboe.  Pursuing studies in China at the Wuhan conservatory of Music, and the Xinghai conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, Chen Ching’s studies were also influenced on an international level.  In Hong Kong he received further training at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with Anthony Camden, and also participated in the master classes of world-renowned oboists Maurice Bourgue and Hansjorg Schellenberger.

 

 

At age 23, Chen Ching became the principal oboist of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra.  A highly talented performer and musician, he is considered to be one of the finest oboists in all of China. Besides performing numerous recitals, concertos, and chamber music concerts around all of China, Hong Kong, and Macau, he has also played more than 800 symphonic concerts around Europe, Japan, South Korea, Africa, and Australia with many well-known, internationally acclaimed conductors.

 

 

Chen Ching founded “Guangzhou Woodwind Quintet” with his four colleagues in 2003. As the residence group of GSO, they gave their opening concert in Xinghai concert hall in October 8th of 2004.
