Four of SCUT’s faculty members recently won the 2016 Young Architect Awards of China, the highest honor for young architects in the country.

The announcement was made by the Architectural Society of China (ASC) on March 12, listing 60 winners including Chen Zijian, Li Jin, He Xiaoxin, and Pan Yu, who were selected and recommended by the Architectural Design and Research Institute (ADRI) of SCUT.

SCUT now has 20 architects that have received the same honor, which was formerly known as the ASC Young Architect Awards, and is now merged into the China Awards of Architecture and Design as one of its few categories.

Established in 1993, the awards have developed wide recognition across the country and overseas. The recent edition of 2016 accepted 119 nominees recommended by 55 institutions from 18 provinces.
