Brief Introduction of the  Speaker:

Prof. Roy Strickland  is an architectural and urban designer whose practice, teaching, and research  have engaged the global cities of London, Paris, Tokyo, Istanbul, and New York.  He was appointed the Director of the Master of Urban Design Program at the  Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the program's inception in  2001. He is former Director of the Urban Design Program at the Columbia  University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and was  Chair of the S.M.Arch.S. Curriculum Committee while he was a member of the  faculty of the School of Architecture and Planning at the Massachusetts  Institute of Technology.
