Brief introduction of the speaker:

Dr. Shibu Raman got his PhD in the Department of Architecture, Oxford Brookes University in 2006. He now teaches in the Welsh School of Architecture of Cardiff University, in Architecture and Urban Design. His subject specialism includes architectural design, urban design, spatial network theory and analysis, design and place making, sustainable urbanism, social sustainability, sustainable urban form, society and spatial culture. Recently, he mainly works in sustainable urban development, evidence based design approach, urbanization and developing countries, sustainable urban form, self-organized systems and informal settlements, and socio-spatial and culturaldimensions of cities.
