ZHANG Zheng from School of Architecture Has Entered the Finals Qualification of 2013 Asian Architectural Rookie Competition

On August 19 to 21, 2013, the School of architecture from Southeast University undertook the qualification trials of “2013 Asian Architectural Rookie Competition”, which was also hosted by National steering committee of architecture discipline. ZHANG Zheng, from our school, got the qualification to enter the finals and won a 10,000 RMB fellowship for travelling to Japan.
This is an international competition set for architectural students from grade one to grade three, aim to find out talented young architect and improve the architectural education communication among different universities in Asia. The second “Asian Architectural Rookie Competition” will be held in next October in Osaka, Japan.
In the finals of Chinese district, 5 students from Southeast University, Hong Kong University, Tianjin University, Xian University of Architecture and Technology and South China University of Technology entered the finals. All of them won the financial support to go to Japan and a bonus of free magazine ARCHITECT for one year.
