Close to CCDI, Closer to Dreams

On Dec. 8, 2014, School of Architecture & School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, South China University of Technology, held a series of projects titled “Touch CCDI” in Shenzhen with CCDI, a powerful company in its expert field. By visiting CCDI and communicating with specialists, the youth experienced mature enterprise managements and had close contact with the industry. Meanwhile, they would have more opportunities of internship in CCDI.
CCDI, founded in 1994, has five business regions, which are New York, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu. National Aquatics Center, also known as the Water Cube, is a masterpiece of CCDI. As a large-scale consulting company in the area of urban construction, CCDI offers professional services and becomes leading enterprise in private business.
Over 40 students participated in the project. After a short time congregation at Sun Yat-sen Square, the participants started their trip to Shenzhen by bus at 9:00 AM. The first step was to visit KK100, with a former name KingKey Financial Center, now being the latest landmark of Shenzhen by a height of 441.8 meters. KK100, designed by TFP&ARUP, contains exceedingly deluxe five star office building, international commercial KK MALL and a five star Hotel. Beyond structure, KK100 becomes a global financial mark, a window to Shenzhen.
The visit of CCDI head office is the major part of the project. After “Lunch experience” in CCDI, the guide from CCDI introduced site of each department, especially showed Public Construction Business Department, Product Department and Specialist Center. According to personnel’s words, CCDI pays much attention on training of talented person. Fresh individuals all have a “Ten manual models per program” test.
CCDI also provides a 30-minute cards game as well as a fruit platter-making game. students were divided into groups, using their professional knowledge to build structures with 108 cards or making creative fruit platters. The two funny games tested cooperation of the youth. At the last, the best performing group was awarded a set of commemorative stamps.
As the last part of the project, Yin, head of Public Construction Business Department, offered answers to sorts of questions raised by the youth, covered operating of enterprise, training of the new, concern for staff. Before leaving CCDI, all participants took a group photo ahead of the CCDI sign.
By evening, boys and girls slept on the bus back way to Guangzhou. Though being tired, they learned a lot. We bless the youth have splendid lives, also wish CCDI has blooming future.
