We seek to understand the fundamental principle of macromolecular self-assembly and develop novel functional materials within the scope of optics, electric, and energy storage. The tools of synthetic organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, electrochemistry, polymer physics and material engineering are combined.
The main research projects involve: (1) Liquid crystals/liquid crystal polymers with unprecedented structures and properties for applications in optical and electric materials; (2) Design of functional polyimides for applications in flexible display, high-frequency communcation or optical lens. (3) Design of polymer materials for energy storage, especially polymer electrolytes for solid-state battery;
本课题组目前致力于软物质功能材料的合成设计、物理结构及其性能研究,重点探究显示、通信、储能等领域有趣的科学问题或实际应用问题。课题组目前的研究方向主要包括以下三个方面:(1)变革性液晶及液晶高分子材料及其光电技术开发;(2)聚酰亚胺功能材料及其在柔性显示或通讯领域应用。(3)高分子储能材料,尤其是聚合物固态电解质。
