Call for Paper


Proposals for oral and poster presentations are welcome in the following themes and other aspects of food science and engineering:
Advanced food processing technologies
Nonthermal techniques
Low carbon food systems
Imaging and image processing
Functional polypeptide processing technology
Postharvest management
Cold chain technologies
Packaging & storage technology
Transportation, logistics & supply chain management
Drying & bio-processing technology
Food safety and traceability
Nondestructive measurements & biosensors
Quality measurement, modeling and control
Novel agro-processing


The deadline for abstract submission is 15th May 2013. The program committee will make the final decisions on the acceptance of abstracts. To participate, please:
a) When logged in, use abstract template (doc) to submit your presentation title, authors and keywords and load your abstract, indicating if you prefer oral or poster presentation.
b) All oral presenters, including invited and key-note speakers, should submit a manuscript for the proceedings of the 8th International CIGR Technical Symposium on Advanced Food Processing and Quality Management. The length of the printed paper (including figures and tables) should be 8 pages for invited key-note talks, 6 pages for all oral presentations and 4 pages for posters.

d) Manuscripts will be published on CD. Selected papers presented at this Symposium will be peer reviewed and published in Special Issues of Food and Bioprocess Technology- An International Journal published by Springer.
